A great success: Keynote with Bruce Dickinson

A special event awaited our students of the Music & Management Bachelor Top Up programmes during their graduation weekend in Munich: We invited our students as well as business partners and employees to an inspiring guest lecture by music legend Bruce Dickinson.

Dickinson shared with passion, enthusiasm and a good dose of humour his experiences as a musician, his challenges and successes in the music business and gave valuable insights into the music industry. Bruce combined entertaining anecdotes from his personal life with tips and tricks for aspiring musicians and managers. For example, he revealed that his secret to creativity and success is to stay down-to-earth and not lose touch with your "inner child".

In line with our learning concept, which has always placed great emphasis on practical experience and direct exchange with industry professionals, the students had the chance to address their questions directly to Dickinson afterwards and gather valuable tips for their future careers.

The event was hosted by our Head of Bachelor Academic Administration, Florian Baum, who conducted short interviews with three of the course leaders of our Bachelor programmes live on stage. The main topics were the development of the music industry and tips for aspiring musicians and managers.

The event ended with a networking session where all participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas and share their thoughts on the lecture. "It was a great pleasure to welcome Bruce Dickinson as a guest speaker and we are already looking forward to organising future events of this kind," says Tobias Breitenbach, Executive Manager of Akademie Deutsche POP.

The keynote with Bruce Dickinson was generally considered a great success and will certainly be remembered as an unforgettable experience by our students, staff and business partners.
