"BERMOODA" on festival tour!

"You just have to keep your eyes open - at United POP you always find cool people to work with."

Simon Kramer first came into contact with United POP at an Open Day eight years ago - he has been part of the POP family ever since. Self-employed with his band BERMOODA, a former student and a part of the Cologne Campus Team for six years.

Even as a teenager, Simon was enthusiastic about music production - he has been playing the piano since he was eleven years old. After his internship at "RIDDIM Magazine" - a music magazine specializing in reggae and dancehall - he decided to become a professional musician. Simon seized the opportunity again and again during his studies and quickly built up a network with students and lecturers from various fields. During his diploma training as a music producer, the 27-year-old impressed with his excellent performance and received a scholarship in the last semester.

Simon is a keyboarder for and with "BERMOODA". Georg Bermuda is founder of the band and trainer at the Cologne Campus. "He asked me if I would like to record some keyboard sounds for him. By now we are on the road with Denis, Martin and Phil as a "Crossover-Reggae" band and released our first album at the end of last year". Bassist Denis and guitarist Bob, who joined the band last year, are also former POP students. Just like sound engineer Dimitri.

Markus Spiller was responsible for the entire artwork of the album, photography lecturer Helge Strauss took care of the album cover and bachelor lecturer Andreas Bob is consultant of the band. "We released our album through his label, he is always at our side with his extensive knowledge. We also use the rooms of the POP regularly for meetings, so we have a permanent spot where we meet. Since we are all familiar with the United POP and their staff, this makes our work very pleasant and enables further cooperations". The first EP was created three years ago - in summer BERMOODA is going on a festival tour through Germany with their album.
