Workshop at Open Day: Introduction to studio portraiture
Have you always wished to play around with lights in the studio to create a mood in a portrait, but have no idea how? In this workshop experienced photographer and United Pop photography teacher Iona Hogendoorn will teach you the basics about a good portrait, studio equipment and camera and light setups. We will create several moods, exploring the different effects of using the studio equipment to give you an idea of the amazing possibilities of studio equipment for portraiture.
Learning objectives
- Introduction to studio equipment and light set-ups
- The secrets to a good studio portrait (directing your model, camera settings, light metering)
- Learn how to strengthen your image by using compositional tricks
This workshop is part of an Open Day and therefore free of charge. The Open Day starts at 13:00. The workshop itself will start at 15:30. The workshop is approximately 1 hour long.
