Workshop at Open Day: Psychoacoustic principles applied to enhance music recordings and mixes.
Understanding and preserving the realistic feel of a sound source in relation to the physical space where it has being recorded. How to modify the variables in the recording/mixing process to manipulate the listeners perception of size and energy of drums, bass and guitars (sound - surrealism).
Learning objectives
- Acquire knowledge about the way humans perceive energy and size in music while gaining an overview of the advanced recording/mixing techniques that make use of this information.
This workshop is part of an Open Day and therefore free of charge. The Open Day starts at 13:00. The workshop itself will start at 14:00. The workshop is approximately 1 hour long.
